Arrival in Lima: Gateway to South America

Upon arrival at Jorge Chavez International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by our representative and taken via private transfer to your selected hotel. Spend the night in Lima, settling into the vibrant energy of Peru’s capital.

Discover Lima (505 ft / 154 m), often called the City of Kings. Begin your adventure by visiting some of the most significant landmarks in the historic center. Stroll through the majestic Plaza Mayor (505 ft / 154 m), admire the architecture of the grand Cathedral of Lima (505 ft / 154 m), and venture into the intriguing Monastery of San Francisco (505 ft / 154 m), famous for its catacombs. The tour also takes you to the more modern side of Lima, including the Love Park in Miraflores (259 ft / 79 m), which offers breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean.

Fly from Lima to Cusco (11,152 ft / 3,399 m), the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. Once you land, you’ll be transferred to your hotel. Our porters carry your gear, prepare your meals, set up our camp tents, and take care of you while you relax.

We provide our porters for free with: jackets, sun hats, warm hats, shirts, pants, hiking boots, comfortable travel bags, canteens, back support belts, sleeping bags, mattresses, and travel insurance. All are hired from isolated communities, improving their economic circumstances and supporting the education of their children. We treat all our porters like family!
