Itinerary

DAY 1:

ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Arrive in Lima, the capital of Peru. Upon landing at Jorge Chavez International Airport, our representative will greet you and arrange a private transfer to your chosen hotel for the night, giving you time to relax and unwind.

  • Meals: None.

Explore the vibrant city of Lima, also known as the “City of Kings.” Begin your day with a hotel pick-up for a guided tour of Lima’s main attractions, including the historical center, the Republican square of San Martin, and the famous Plaza de Armas (505 ft or 154 m). You’ll visit the Convent of San Francisco and its remarkable catacombs. The tour then takes you to Miraflores, where you’ll stop at the Park of Love, offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. This comprehensive tour lasts around four hours.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

In the morning, you’ll be transferred to the airport for a short domestic flight to Cusco (11,152 ft or 3,399 m). After your arrival, you’ll have the day free to explore Cusco at your own pace, enjoying its local restaurants, bars, and markets.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

Today, explore the Sacred Valley of the Incas (9,186 ft or 2,800 m), a key region for the Incan civilization due to its fertile plains and mild climate. Depart early from Cusco, arriving at Pisaq (9,514 ft or 2,900 m), where you’ll spend around two hours touring the archaeological ruins. The tour continues through scenic villages like Coya, Lamay, and Calca as you travel along the Vilcanota River to Urubamba, where you’ll stop for lunch.

In the afternoon, visit Ollantaytambo (9,160 ft or 2,792 m), one of the best-preserved Inca towns, where you’ll enjoy a guided tour of its impressive ruins.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

Start your day with a scenic train journey to Aguas Calientes (6,693 ft or 2,040 m), the gateway to Machu Picchu. This trip offers spectacular views of the jungle and the towering Andean peaks. Machu Picchu remained hidden for centuries due to its remote location, high up on a mountainside.

Once you arrive in Aguas Calientes, a short bus ride will take you up a narrow and winding road to Machu Picchu (7,972 ft or 2,430 m). Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, you’ll be transferred to your hotel for an overnight stay.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

Today, rise early for a bus ride up to the iconic Inca Citadel of Machu Picchu. From there, hike to Huayna Picchu (8,920 ft or 2,720 m), also known as Wayna Picchu, which towers above the ruins. The number of visitors allowed to climb is limited to 200 per day, so you’ll enjoy a unique experience as you follow the ancient trail to the top.

After the hike, your guided tour of Machu Picchu begins. You’ll explore key areas such as the Temple of the Moon, the Great Cavern, the Sun Gate (Inti Punku), and the Sun Temple, along with various burial sites and temples. The Sun Gate offers stunning views of the citadel and the surrounding mountains.

In the afternoon, take the train back to Cusco, where you’ll spend the night.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

Return to Lima in the morning with a domestic flight from Cusco. Upon arriving in Lima, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel for the night. Enjoy your final day in Peru’s capital at your leisure.
