Itinerary

DAY 1:

ARRIVAL IN LIMA

Once you arrive in Lima, the capital of Peru, you’ll be greeted by our representative at Jorge Chavez International Airport and transported privately to your chosen hotel. The night will be spent resting at your hotel in Lima.

  • Meals: None.

Start the day in Lima with a pick-up from your hotel for a guided exploration of the city. You’ll visit the key highlights such as the historic downtown area, San Martin Square, and the renowned Plaza de Armas—one of Lima’s most prized locations. The tour also includes a visit to the San Francisco Convent and its fascinating catacombs. From here, the journey continues to the modern area of Miraflores, including a stop at the Park of Love, which offers a stunning view of the Pacific Ocean. The tour lasts about four hours in total.

Afterward, you’ll be taken to the bus terminal to board a double-decker bus that will take you to the scenic Paracas Bay.

  • Meals: None.

In Paracas, you’ll enjoy a boat trip to the Ballestas Islands, often called the “Peruvian Galapagos.” These remote, rocky islands, which can only be accessed by boat, are home to various species of wildlife, such as birds (including cormorants, pelicans, and vultures), Humboldt penguins, dolphins, and large colonies of sea lions. The trip lasts about 90 minutes off the coast of Paracas.

Later, you’ll head to Ica to visit the sand dunes and Huacachina Oasis, located 5 km from downtown Ica (about 16,404 ft or 5,000 m). You’ll begin by visiting an old distillery, where you’ll learn about the production of Pisco, a famous Peruvian spirit. After the tour, you’ll have the chance to taste different varieties of Pisco and wines. The visit continues to the Ica Regional Museum, one of the most important museums along Peru’s southern coast. Here, you’ll see artifacts from various cultures that inhabited the region.

Finally, you’ll visit the tranquil Huacachina Oasis, where you can take in the serene surroundings and towering dunes, perfect for sandboarding or dune buggy rides.

Afterward, you’ll board a bus for the two-hour journey to Nazca. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your selected hotel in Nazca.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

Today’s highlight is a visit to the famous Nazca Lines, located on an arid plateau between Nazca (1,706 ft or 520 m) and Palpa. These ancient geoglyphs span 80 kilometers, featuring more than 300 different designs. Some of the most notable include the giant hummingbird, the whale, and the enormous spider (about 148 ft or 45 m long). The lines, measuring up to 30 meters wide and stretching for over 9 kilometers, are best seen from the air or the nearby hills.

Later, you’ll catch a double-decker bus for the journey back to Lima. Once you arrive, you will be transferred to your selected hotel for the night.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

In the morning, you’ll head to the airport for a domestic flight to Cusco (11,152 ft or 3,399 m). Upon landing, you’ll be picked up and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax, acclimate, or explore Cusco at your own pace.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

After breakfast, your day begins with a visit to the main attractions of Cusco. Start with Plaza San Cristóbal, which offers panoramic views of the city. From there, you’ll head to the bustling San Pedro Market, a great place to soak in the local culture. You’ll also visit the Koricancha Temple, showcasing the grandeur of Inca architecture, and the Church of Santo Domingo, built over Inca ruins.

A stroll through San Blas, the artistic neighborhood, leads to Hatun Rumiyoc Street, where you’ll find the famous twelve-angled stone. Continue your tour to the Plaza de Armas, Cusco’s central square, and the Cathedral, which is home to priceless colonial artwork.

The tour also takes you to nearby archaeological sites, such as Sacsayhuamán (12,142 ft or 3,701 m), an impressive fortress, Qenqo, an enigmatic religious site, Puca Pucará, a military structure, and Tambomachay (12,139 ft or 3,700 m), a site known for its intricate waterworks.

  • Meals: Breakfast.

The Sacred Valley (9,186 ft or 2,800 m) offers a perfect mix of beauty and history. Starting early, you’ll visit the ancient ruins of Pisaq (9,514 ft or 2,900 m), followed by a visit to the local market. Next, the tour continues through picturesque villages like Coya, Lamay, and Calca, leading to Urubamba (9,420 ft or 2,871 m), where you’ll stop for lunch at a local restaurant (not included).

After lunch, you’ll head to Ollantaytambo (9,160 ft or 2,792 m), a well-preserved Inca town with impressive ruins. A guided tour of the site will be provided before returning to Cusco.

  • Meals: Breakfast, Lunch.

The adventure continues with a scenic train ride to Aguas Calientes (6,693 ft or 2,040 m), the gateway to Machu Picchu (7,972 ft or 2,430 m). The journey offers breathtaking views of the mountains and the diverse flora and fauna of the jungle. Upon arrival, you’ll be taken to your selected hotel in Aguas Calientes.
